Richard Lowell is the author of Bad Chemistry.

He has been doing chemical research for almost fifty years, thirty eight years with a leading chemical company investigating ways to manufacture agricultural chemicals.

He has written numerous patents and journal articles and parts of two nonfiction books. He recommends chemistry as a field for young people.

He is retired and lives with his wonderful wife of fifty-six years, has many interests, and has two lovely daughters whom he loves very much.

This is his first novel.

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a big chemical company?

After a disgruntled scientist threatens to blow up a chemical plant, he's found murdered with a strange blue tint on his hands and face. Hotshot St. Louis detective Doug Sanderson catches the case and soon recruits brilliant chemist Loren Sharp to assist. The leads take the duo to Colorado and a possible drug lab and hazardous waste dump. When the bodies start piling up, Doug and Loren have to fight for their lives. Will they survive to stop the explosion or will thousands of people die?
